Purpose of Practicum:

This program is important, especially for us the students teacher to increase our teaching skill and pedagogical competence. We also could improve our English skills (active and passive). It would build our bravery and confidence to survive everywhere we would be placed.

Procedures of Practicum: 

It has already enough for us as the participants started from the orientation , but I hope for the next batch the students teacher would get same instruction from the coordinator in their receive university, even they get different receive university. For example, my friend got the receive university that instructed her to write a report on Ms. Word, while me write my daily report by my hand and got a hard file with a different format. It would make us confused which one is true, that could be collected to our home university as a report.

Outcomes of The Practicum: 

We got many links from another universities, especially around The Southeast Asia, so that if one day we want to collaborate in our job we could contact them easily. As a future teacher we could combine the teaching models in our class. Besides, we have learned many strategies to survive in different places without family.

The Challenges of Practicum:

We should keep our good behavior and our communication well to others, do not make them (Coordinator, Lecturers, Teachers, Buddies, Students, Dorm Owner, Room mate). It was hard for us to find halal food, even in the canteen there is a "moeslim food" which opens until 3 p.m. I hope for the next batch the students teacher would get a kitchen so that they could cook together and it helps to save their money.  We should prepare anything at night before we go to school in the morning in order that we would be late, because we should arrive to the school before 7.30 a.m. by walk and the distance between our dormitory to the school is enough far.

I hope for the next batch will be provided a kitchen to make some meals so that the Sea Teacher could get especially halal food easily.
